My name is TJ Findley. I am the founder and owner of S&S Mole Removal. I have been providing mole removal services for over 20 years in the Greater Cincinnati area. I opened S&S Mole removal shortly after becoming a full time Firefighter/Paramedic. I have always been an outdoorsman, I graduated from LaSalle High School and went on to study Wildlife Management at Hocking College. The name S&S Mole Removal comes from my wife Samantha and daughter Sophia. I have always kept the small business mentality throughout the years and personally do all of the trapping and maintenance of all yards while my wife Samantha takes care of customer service, scheduling, and billing. I take great pride in the work that I do for my customers and Samantha does as well. This allows us to be the most affordable mole removal company serving the Cincinnati tri-state area for many years.
I live with my wife and our two children, Sophia and Cooper, in West Harrison, IN. Outside of work I enjoy attending my children’s sporting events and enjoy hunting, fishing and golfing when I have free time to do so.
We truly appreciate our customers and the trust they put in us. S&S Mole Removal has, hands down, the best customers any business could ask for whom we have built relationships with for many years. We would love to build a great relationship with new customers as well. Give us a call and let us build a great working relationship with you as well.
Moles may look cute and furry, but don’t let their looks fool you. Moles can do serious financial damage to a yard you work so hard to keep beautiful. The eastern mole is the most common species found throughout our region. The eastern mole is roughly the size of a chipmunk. Moles are made for digging as you are probably well aware of. Moles have palm-like short front feet with large hands made for moving through dirt much like a human swimming through water. Moles use their keen sense of hearing, touch and smell to navigate and feed. Even though moles do have eyes they are not used for much other than telling light from dark.
Habitat - Moles are small mammals that live primarily underground in a series of tunnels.

Do you have small holes in your mulch beds and landscaping? Or maybe in your garden? There is a good chance that you have shrews that are causing these holes!
Shrews are small mammals with a mole-like appearance. They have a small body and a high metabolic rate, which makes them eat their body weight in food every day. Shrews are known for being gluttonous and eat seeds, snails, and sometimes even mouse pups. Shrews are fierce and territorial, and only come together to mate. They are very active and have voracious appetites. Some species dig burrows to store food and hide from predators.
They're one of only a few venomous mammals.
The venom in their saliva helps them kill or paralyze their prey, but it also contains a substance that helps them quickly digest protein and break down muscle tissue. This allows them to eat often without having to wait to digest their previous meal.
Shrews will run along tunnels or runways created by Moles & Voles. This constant travel will create defined surface runways & tunnels through turf areas measuring about 1.5 to 2 inches.
Short-tailed shrews are not restricted to a particular habitat, but seem to prefer forests, grasslands, marshes, and brushy areas. They are active year-round, both day and night and they typically eat invertebrates, small vertebrates and plant material.
